PAPA: Preserving the human instinct for ethical innovation

Our humanness is the portal into realizing our greatest innovative potential.  It holds the keys to better discern, adapt and ethically innovate through immense adversity and complexity. It restores agency and sanity back from compulsive behavior, along with awakens relational strengths to repair and evolve relationships.

Ethical and creative aliveness is a birthright. But it requires embracing one's archetypal, biological and soul-filled, emergent being. A sense of being that is unencumbered by societal norms, standards and dissociations that have one bought into false forms of what it means to be human and ethically creative.

Creative Fire

Process AND Solution

Creative Fire

There is such a thing as false fire or power and real fire or power.

When we bend and operate in ways that are inauthentic to our human nature, we require a false fire to continue to operate in that way.  It drains us of energy and our creative fire. The less creative fire we have, the more we may find ourselves bending in inauthentic ways

When we reclaim our power from societal tendencies and better understanding how to play in the archetypal reality, while honoring our biological limitations, we begin to realize our true human potential.

PAPA Concepts

Lift the Lid

PAPA has the capacity to lift the lid to see the societal norms, standards and powerful, collectively unconscious forces that thwart our relational gifts and capacities and our creative power as humans.

As mentioned, being influenced by unconscious yet powerful societal forces that inform you on how to be, relate and create in the world, can thwart your genuine relational and creative power. What one can create when bought into the snare of false fire is limited. But true relational and creative power is in unlimited supply when you lift the lid and realize more of your human potential.

Discernment

Interpersonal Neurobiologist, Dan Siegel suggests, “There is the fear that keeps you alive, and the fear that keeps you from living.”

Denial of the fears that keep one from living is a survival threat. Denial of the fears that keep one alive is also a survival threat. Denial of either can therefore impair embodied aliveness, restoring one's human potential.

PAPA helps foster neuorceptive discernment between these two fears. It helps resolve the fear(s) that keep you from living, while bringing to the surface the fear or spider senses that help you and your loved ones stay alive.

The Creative Marriage

You can't have a robber without a cop and you can't have a cop without a robber. They are two sides of the same coin within the archetypal realm of our psyche. The more we disown one side of this coin within our psyche, the more this disowned side gets displaced onto others and/or in one's compulsive behavior.

This is why children love games, such as cops and robbers. Through play, they learn to embody both sides of this archetypal reality in order to tame both sides.

When one side is not owned, it can get displaced onto others, as well as find its way into our compulsive behaviors. We might return to the compulsive behaviour over and over again, until we own the disown.

It's important to consider that at an archetypal level, we are always in a creative marriage with our opposite. Humans are in a creative marriage with technology. Love is in a creative marriage with hate. Victims are in a creative marriage with the bully, etc.

Embrace Alchemy

There are 4 stages to the alchemy process in order to adapt and ethically innovate through adverse complexity:

1. Stabilization

2. Destabilization

3. Creative emergence and action

4. Integration and re-stabilization

Embracing and making space in one's life for these stages to occur greatly increases a person's capacity to evolve without significant destabilization.

Be Lost

Embracing being lost at times is important, rather than put meaning to all experiences. For example, "I am stuck repeating the same pattern because of my family of origin trauma."

How does one know for sure that the repetition of a compulsive pattern is a result of a family of origin trauma? There could be an infinite number of influences being placed on the nervous system impacting behavior. Yes, family of origin is an important factor, but there may be others. There could be cultural, archetypal influences, or neuroceptive (gut instinct) influences. And/or the system is compulsively returning to the same pattern because the creative and emergent potential sourced in the pattern has not been seized and integrated in ways that bring the system into further embodied aliveness.
